Reliable is someone who is capable and, when you need it, he/she will probably know how to help.

Reliable means you can depend on something or someone because they are consistent. If someone is reliable, they consistently show up on time and help you out (unless it’s used ironically to say that you can rely on someone to be late, etc). If a tool is reliable, then it consistently works when you use it and you can depend on it whenever you need it. If a source is reliable, it’s been proven consistently credible.

Trustworthy is simply worthy of trust. If a person is trustworthy, you can tell that person secrets because you know they won’t share them with others. A trustworthy source is one you can trust to have credible information.
