Gut and instinct alone have their own seperate meanings but when you put them together they mean something else.
Gut instinct is used together to describe a feeling you get that you know something before you really know it for sure.

Example- "My gut instinct is telling me that something bad is about to happen."

In this situation you don't know for sure that something bad is about to happen you just feel something inside of you that is telling you it is a bad situation.

Example 2- You are taking a test and you choose letter A because you feel like it is the right answer even though you don't understand the question, but in the end you choose C because it looked like the right answer and you got it wrong; the correct answer was A.
You could say "Man, I should have gone with my gut instinct." (which was the feeling you got that A was the right answer.)

A: I don't think there simply is a difference talking literally between the words of gut and belly. If gut is referred to metaphorically, gut can mean something in relation to courage. A: "It takes a lot of guts" is also a phrase you will hear, so either one is fine. They both carry very similar, if not the exact same, meaning, so you could say "It takes a lot of guts" or "It takes serious/real guts" and people will understand you :)

A: For "I don't know how to define it" we would use the expression "I can't put my finger on it". This seems a bit strange when we are talking about ourselves though, so I would instead say "I don't know why"

A gut feeling is good, but since the gut is communicating I would say "my gut tells me". However this sounds a bit strange with princess, so I would instead say "my heart tells me" to make it a bit prettier.

"I look no less than a princess" sounds a bit strange to me. I would say "I am just as beautiful as a princess"
