The maintenance guy didn't have any on him
Can you tell me why both laughed in this conversation?
?
A:
She said she let the dog out to go pee, naturally as you do when you have a dog. The man says I'm not arguing this. He means he does not disagree with her. He also agrees when you have a dog you have to take it out to go pee. Slightly funny in my opinion. Then the woman was saying something about needing to put tomato juice on her dog because it was sprayed by a skunk and this is supposed to take the smell out. She commented that he didn't have any and the man said "yeah the maintenance guy didn't have any on him?" then everyone laughed. They laughed because it was funny that the girl asked the maintenance man if he had any tomato juice, because a maintenance man would not have tomato juice, it's not something people carry around. The man was saying the maintenance man didn't have any tomato juice sarcastically, because of course he didn't. It would be like if I met you and asked if you happened to have any sawdust on you. ie: the maintenance man didnt have any sawdust? Of course he didn't. Sorry if this is very long, if you are still Confused I will try to clarify.

Q:
Was ist der Unterschied zwischen He is doing maintenance~ / He is maintaning~ und I do reaserch / I reaserch ?
A:
“He is doing maintenance” is a general way of saying a male is doing routine work on different things.
“He is maintaining” is not a complete sentence on its own so the person would have to be maintaining something.
“I do research” is a complete sentence and it just means that is something you do.
“I research” has to be followed by something else to make it a complete sentence. It would need more details. Like “I research butterflies and their environment.”
EDIT: YOU CLOSED THE QUESTION SO I CANT ANSWER YOUR LAST MESSAGE ON ITS OWN.
In that case they mean the same thing because they are given the same context. Without the details, the first of each statement is just general.

Q:
Was ist der Unterschied zwischen maintenance und conservation und preservation ?
A:
They all pretty much mean the same thing but they’re used in separate situations. Maintenance(or main ting) tends to be done when a problem arrives or regularly. For example: computer maintenance. However it can also be maintaining a garden, as in keeping it alive.
Conservation is for something that can be lost or in short supply. For example: “We conserved our body heat in the mountains”, or “We conserved water in the desert”.
Preservation tends to be for things that go bad, like food. For example: “trying to preserve the food without chemicals is difficult”.

Q:
Was ist der Unterschied zwischen What we mainly do is provide a regular maintenance service for internet connections. und What we mainly do is to provide a regular maintenance service for internet connections. ?
A:
@mimi444 That rule is kind of correct.
The tense of sentence determines whether you use the infinitive (a verb in it's base form) or the gerund (a verb with -ing attached)
A verb in it's gerund form essentially functions as a noun.
"I'm move.." doesn't make sense because 'move' is the infinitive - it doesn't have tense. You are literally saying that you are 'move'. "私は動く"
For this sentence to be correct, you'd need to add tense to the sentence.
"I am moving" (私は動いています)
"I moved" (私は動いていました) <--- I'm not 100% this translation is correct, sorry
So clarify on what you were taught; you can't put a verb in its' base form (example = provide, run, talk) after 'is' if tense has not been clarified elsewhere in the sentence.
A verb in it's gerund form (example = providing, running, talking) functions as a noun, so follows the same rules as a noun.
That was kind of difficult to explain so let me know if you need more clarification.
