Fragen über die Beispielsätze mit, und die Definition und Benutzung von "Overcast"

A: When the sky is completely covered with grey cloud.

A: "Cloudy" means there are a lot of clouds in the sky. "Overcast" means the entire sky is covered by clouds.

A: I agree with the previous commenter. Overcast and cloudy can mean the same thing so preferring one over the other is not really a correct way to put it.

Do you mean 'clear' weather?

If so you might need to change how you word the sentence so it flows better.

Also what do you mean by 'go through'? Are you driving, or do you mean just to pass time?

If you do mean this then you can word it as,

"If I had the option of sunny weather or for it to be cloudy, I would very much prefer it to be sunny."

This is just one example of this sentence in use.

EDIT:
I just saw your comment pop up on 'overcast'. It generally means 'with clouds in the sky' so in context, the same thing that cloudy means. It can mean that there is no ray of sunshine but again...that is the same meaning as cloudy so it would not be right to say they mean different things.
