"Keep it roam" is not a sentence people say. it is wrong.

"roam" means travel aimlessly or unsystematically, especially over a wide area.

A: “Feel free to roam around” This means feel free to wander or go wherever you would like to go

A: "There are coyotes just roaming around the forests near my house." (🐾 True story.)

"Make sure to check your phone's data settings when traveling to make sure that you aren't being charged extra for roaming."

"Wild animals aren't meant to be kept locked up in cages. Ideally, they should be able to roam freely in their natural habitats without disturbance from humans."

A: "Roam" is sort of like 「ぶらぶら」. It means to go around an area with no specific destination.

"I roamed around the hotel." This means I walked through the hotel, but not to anywhere specific. I just walked around.

prowl = move purposefully around in search of something, like a wolf or lion looking for something to eat
stray = leave a fixed path; get lost; go the wrong direction

We roamed (= traveled a lot, looking for something interesting) the city, looking for interesting stores and restaurants.

He wandered (= moved around aimlessly) through the train station while waiting for his train to arrive.

She prowled (= moved and searched purposefully) through the library, trying to find where she left her laptop.

At the airport, some of the students strayed (= got lost) from the group and ended up in the wrong terminal.

A: I've never heard anybody say "promenade" but it means something like 散步 in French.
'To roam around' is just for things like walking, while 'to ramble' is for talking
