Q:
still would not mind doing smth. i know how its translates, but cant understand why there is would not, if its not past tense, and why there is doing, if its not continuous. obviously, i do not understand something, could somebody explain it to me pls?
A:
Would not isn't always related to past tense. Assuming smth is something, I'm going to change the sentence a bit and say "I still wouldn't mind doing something." So a sentence like this would probably be used when trying to make plans with someone and they said they were fine with anything, and you weren't sure you could go out anyway. They might offer again, saying "I still wouldn't mind doing something." To say that their schedule is still open and they still want to go on an outing. And doing is more of an action being done at some point in time (past, present, or future). Kind of confusing, sorry.
