(I don't know what 'of equal' mean and its nuance exactly. If I can wirte as 'were equal talent', what is different between 'were equal' and 'were of equal'?)?
A:
"They were of equal talent" means "They had equal talent." In my opinion, one shouldn't write "They were equal talent." When one can and when one can't use "[to be] of," or when one is better to use some other preposition (and where), is a bit tricky. For example, in my opinion one shouldn't say "they were equal height"; one should say "they were of equal height" or "they were equal in height." Ditto for "weight" -- and one can say "They were equal _in_ talent" (or weight or height). One can find some instances of the "were equal [noun]" pattern on the Internet, but if one uses a site:.edu restriction, or just in general, the relative number and quality of the texts returned favors using one of the structures with a preposition.
If the "to be of" pattern is difficult, one way to avoid it is to turn the noun into an adjective, and the adjective "equal" into an adverb: "They were equally talented" is fine, as is "they were equally heavy" or "equally tall."
Here are the first 20 examples of "were of equal" in the Corpus of Contemporary American English, so you can see with what words it most commonly occurs, besides talen (ability, value, difficulty, concern, duration, importance, quality, size, status, rank, weight) (searches on "is of equal" or "was of equal" or "be of equal" would show similar words following):

Q:
Was ist der Unterschied zwischen writer und author ?
A:
You can use author to talk about things that aren't written.
(example: i am the author of my own life)
Mostly they are interchangeable (you can use either), so don't worry too much!
The difference is a writer is someone who writes a piece of literary work (a book, an essay, an article). An author is a person who originates an idea or a creation.
If you are writing a story someone else has told you, you are the writer and they are the author.

Q:
Was ist der Unterschied zwischen The writer described the situation to be disaster. und The writer described the situation as disaster. ?
A:
똑같애요. They’re pretty much the same. Sometimes one sounds more natural than the other. Slight correction for the sentences: “The writer described the situation to be/as A disaster”.
However, sometimes they can change the meaning slightly. For example:
I know her to be a good person vs I know her as a good person mean exactly the same thing. But, the second sentence using “as” feels more personal. Like you’ve personally experienced her good personality. It’s a slight connotation.
Does that make sense at all?

Wie sagt man das auf Englisch (US)? When I writer a letter to someone I don't know their sex,
which expression would be appropriate to begin with the letter in a polite way as I can not use 'Mr.' or 'Ms'?
which expression would be appropriate to begin with the letter in a polite way as I can not use 'Mr.' or 'Ms'?
A:
writing a letter to someone is supposed to be personal, so you should know whether they are Mr./Ms./Mrs., otherwise the letter sounds very impersonal and generic.
If you are writing a generic company letter or a letter to provide information in general, then "to whom it may concern" would be fine.
If you're writing a casual letter, maybe to a penpal, you'd write "dear [first name]", but if you're writing a more formal letter, maybe with a business proposition, you want to use their last name. if you are unsure of their gender, and there is no way for you to find it out, you can always write "Dear Mr. or Ms. [last name]".

Q:
We learn that the writer's my mum is thoughtful and hearty. She is thought and shows her lover for her daughter, Waris, when she wakes Waris up to let her escape- from the horrible, forced marriage arrangement. We can infer from this that her mum has also probably been forced to an unwanted marriage herself, therefore wishing her daughter to not experience the same thing.
The mum is also hearty because she risks herself to be "told off" by her husband when he finds out about this. Moreover, Waris instantly thinks of her mum when she feels exhausted about this never-ending escape: "I just wanted to go back home with Mama" (line 55). This portrays the close relationship Waris had with her gentle and caring mum. klingt das natürlich?

A:
I think 'caring' would be a better word than 'hearty'.
(line3) "she is thoughtful* and shows her love* for her daughter" would be correct
(line9) "forced into* an unwanted marriage"
(line14) “she risks being* 'told off' by her husband" would be correct.
Apart from that it was really good, what you infered from the text made sense and there were only a few mistakes. There are many English people I know who probably wouldn't of done as well 😂😂.

That sounds repetitive. Try saying "Who is the book's writer?" or "Who is the writer of the book?" instead.
Q:

The original sentence isn't really natural, but the second one is pretty close.
The writer is very expressive, and his project looks very promising.
