♡Which one is better between <taken aback by> and <baffled by> in this context? Thanks!♡
Bullying and school violence are still a headache. A child next door was beaten up by a bully at his middle school, and he refused to go to school for two days straight afterwards. It upset his parents, and they ended up going to school to talk about it.
The boy’s parents were < baffled by / taken aback by>the bully’s parents saying “Your child must be the one who is to blame! Maybe he needed a lesson!” It couldn't be more wrong. They were just dumbfounded to say the least.

I think both would be natural... I'd probably use baffled, but that's just me.
