There is no denying the fact that each day more and more shopping centers appear. This has led to the closure of small shops and some people are of the opinion that in years to come local communities will be death for a plethora of reasons.
First and foremost, it stands to reason that many people appreciate to live near shops. Not only do they deem that is more convenient for them to shopping, but also that they would have more ways of entertainment. Thus, they choose to move to more central places. Secondly, more often than not, in local shops, it is more likely that we find artesanal products of the community. Were local shops to disappear, it would be difficult to find such products.
Having said that, the detractors said that under no circumstances would local communities died because shopping centers are not so advantageous. Firstly, they attract more traffic and congestion which can be annoying for the residents of the area. Secondly, they all seem the same, so there are many people that are not particularly fascinated by malls. They prefer more pinturesque shops. Last but certainly not least, should residents to move near shopping centers, they will not be enough space to the inhabitants to dwell on.
In conclusion, I would say that there is no doubt that many shopping centers have sprung up. Notwithstanding, local shops are still striving to remain and satisfy the local comunities' needs. From my standpoint, the more alternatives shoppers have, the better.
