[Trigger Warning: Racism]
Speaking of my implicit biases against Black people, I can’t remember whether I personally encountered Black people before coming to the university, but I do think that how the media presented Black people and countries where Black people live in have greatly contributed to my implicit biases. A strong preference to White people over Black people can be found almost everywhere in Japan. The TV shows I used to enjoy watching depicted Black people as criminals or violent people. There was no Black actors in TVCM nor package of beauty products. They are all white people. klingt das natürlich?
