Can you rephrase this sentence please? I’m struggling to understand the meaning...
Change will last longer when it’s not forced but when it comes about because they have been convinced of its need.
Thank you so much!

@Nana__77 I think you're close!
Let's say your parents tell you to brush your teeth.
If your parents force/make you brush your teeth, but they don't tell you why you should brush your teeth, then you might do it today. However, if you don't know why it is important, you will not do it tomorrow.
If you force change, it does not last long. If you let people change by themselves, it will last longer.
If you tell a person to do something, they are only doing it because you told them to. If they understand why they need to do it, then they will keep doing it because they see why it's important.

Change lasts longer when people see that it is helpful instead of being forced to change.
Example:
Your mom is telling you to wear a jacket before going outside.
If you are forced to wear the jacket, you might take it off once your mom is not looking anymore because you don't think you need it.
If you understand why you should wear the jacket, you will keep the jacket on and not take it off afterwards because you know why it is important.

@leeerHN812 thank you so much for your quick response!
And your example is super!!!
So if I understood correctly:
The change which was made lasts longer than the change made by being forced?
Or it means,
It takes longer time to change when it comes to do it by yourself?
