Many animals are endangered which means they are at risk of becoming extinct on Earth. 

Endangered animals include tigers, rhinoceroses, giant pandas, orangutans and many more.

People are destroying animal’s habitats, such as rainforests. Many wild animals are also hunted by humans, for example for their fur or horns. 

Healthy ecosystems depend on plant and animal species as their foundations. When a species becomes endangered, it is a sign that the ecosystem is slowly falling apart. Each species that is lost triggers the loss of other species within its ecosystem.
