@MooCat it's honestly preference, culture, atmosphere and the setting or where it is said.
“I'm so excited” or “I’m very excited” could be used in a professional place because it doesn't use any slang terms.
Example:
“I am very excited for the presentation of our new product.”
But it is commonly used casually as well.
“So hyped” is a slang term and may be used by teens or younger people.
Example:
“Im so hyped for the new Marvel movie!!!”
“So pumped” can be used interchangeably with “so hyped” but it often refers to sports. Specifically getting ready for sports using music or something else.
Example:
“Im getting pumped up for the basketball game” or “im so pumped for this soccer game”
“Stoked” people use stoked a lot less or as a joke because of the way it sounds I think. I would expect this word from a sub-culture such as Skaters(skateboard)
Example:
“I am so stoked about the concert tonight!!!”
“Jazzed” is a very easy going way of saying excited. When I think of it's an almost euphoric. If you listen to a jazz song and apply that feeling to “im so excited” I think you will get the idea.
“Im so jazzed about getting the part in the play”
I really hope this helps....if you need me to clarify something I can.
