"Adverbs typically don’t take the prefix un- unless the adjective they are derived from does first (e.g., unhelpfully from unhelpful, but *unquickly, *unquick)."
Can anyone explane this?

Yes! Here are examples of adverbs:
Quickly
- example: “She runs quickly.”
- Comes from the word quick. example: “The horse is quick.”
- Can I say that someone runs “unquickly” (not quickly)?
No. This is because “unquick” is not a word.
Helpfully
- example: “He cleans helpfully.”
- Comes from the word helpful. example: “He is a helpful person.”
- Can I say that someone is working unhelpfully?
Yes! This is because “unhelpful” is a word. “He is very unhelpful at work.”
I hope this makes sense! Let me know if you would like me to explain anything else. :)

Here are some various examples with adverbs! Normally the adverb is right next to the word it is affecting. If it is affecting a verb (action), it is usually more natural to put it after. If it is affecting an adjective (description), it is more natural to put it first.
Adverbs with verbs:
She runs quickly.
He cleans helpfully.
They spoke politely.
You disappeared suddenly.
Can we go quietly?
Adverbs with adjectives:
He is obviously asleep.
This is bright purple.
My leg really hurts.
Not all adverbs end with “-ly,” though it is very common.
Does this help?
