Can you tell me if it's correct and natural ?

Even though I had been acccepted to the same Master's program last year, I decided to delay my studies in order to do a civic service in an association. My work was centered mainly on communication and events. My tasks included the recruitment of students on university campuses, organizing events, communicating about these events and animating the association's social networks. This experience allowed me to become familiar with the world of media and culture, and reinforced my desire to work in these fields. There is no doubt that the knowledge acquired throughout my commitment will be very useful for the rest of my journey.
