Does this essay sound natural?

While some people believe the arts require more government spending than athletics, others oppose that. Personally, I think that the government should provide monetary support to the arts rather than athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams.

First of all, funding for the arts is usually less than that for sports. A typical sports team are well funded by large companies. For example, one of the most famous football teams in Spain, Barcelona, is supported with over a million dollars by Rakuten, the largest commercial company in Japan. This is because of the tremendous advertisement effect with people in the world watching games of the football team. As the arts don't provide such a benefit to the companies, therefore these are rarely funded by corporations.

Another point that the arts are more important than sports for governments is that the arts are part of our culture in a country. The government should be responsible for preserving their culture and its history, and the arts could play a central role in the culture. For instance, there are various ways to draw and these ways are spared across different countries reflecting their cultures. One option that the government can take to protect these cultures is to spend money on museums and art education in schools.

Finally, the arts provide significant benefits to the public with their mental health. The recent research of Albert University in Canada shows that people who go to museums once a week significantly reduce their mental health problems even during the depressing period of the time. In most cases, the arts including drawing and literature reflect the contemporary concerns and provide some solutions to deal with those difficult situations. These features of art could affect people positively and the government should spend more money to advocate the importance of the arts among their citizens.

In conclusion, government spending on the arts is more crucial than that on sports. The arts are a more important aspect of our society while it doesn't provide much monetary remuneration like sports sponsoring. Enjoying the arts helps people decrease their level of stress providing an opportunity to learn about the culture and history of their country.

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement?
Governments should spend more money in support of the arts than in support of athletics such as state-sponsored Olympic teams.
Use specific reasons and examples to support your answer.
