Wie sagt man das auf Deutsch? a female guest.
I know that "der Gast" is a male guest but what about a female one?
and do I use the feminine article with it?

@cutiepie8888888 No. "Gast" has a male article, so you use this male article for both a female and a male.

-> Der Gast.
-> Sie ist mein Gast.

Plural:

-> Die Gäste
-> Sie sind meine Gäste.

That said, personal pronouns are used inconsistently.

Colloquially, people tend to use the pronoun that matches the person's sex. News articles and government texts tend to use the grammatically correct pronoun.

This is the case for most of these words. Other examples are:
- die Person
- der Mensch
- das Kind

example: I was asked something by a person(man), where that person (he)can find santa clause:

"Ich wurde gestern von einer komischen Person angesprochen. ER hat mich gefragt, wo ER den Weihnachtsmann finden kann."

Grammatically, you are refering to "die Person", so you should use "sie" as the pronoun. But if the person was a man, many will go with "er" instead.

However, "der Gast / die Gäste" can be used as a 'generic' form, e.g. when talking about "the guest" as a role/category, not a specific one, or "guests" collectively.
