If you address your friend directly in that first part, it will sound a lot more natural:
- informal: "Ich denke, dass du dort eine sehr gute Zeit hattest..."

For the second part there is an important word ("über") missing. Über is important, because you cannot write a holiday but you can write ABOUT a holiday.

So the correct version for the second part would be:
