Was bedeutet Opfernummer ?

I was watching an episode of Tatort. At 44:43 the woman says: "Ich kann diese Opfernummer nicht mehr hören."

According to the context, I think she means that she can't stand the other character keep emphasizing that he is the victim (although he actually is). I would like to know where does the word "Opfernummer" came from and what it means precisely.

@lesautres I think you can use it with quite a lot of things, as you can play quite a few things. I found those Examples:

"Ich brauche keinen Alkohol, um gut drauf zu sein. Ich kann auch so meine Kollegen parodieren oder meine super-coole Michael-Jackson-Moonwalker-Nummer abziehen";
(I don't have to drink to be fun. I can do the M-J Moonwalker (thing) sober)

"Ich kann genau verstehen, wie es dir geht. Mein Ex-Freund hat auch so 'ne Nummer abgezogen";
(I understand you, my ex did the same (shitty thing))

"Aber ehrlich gesagt fand ich, dass die bei uns 'ne ziemlich miese Nummer abgezogen haben";
(To be honest, I think what they did wasn't ok (was a shitty thing))

"Die zogen wie auch beim letzten Auftritt in Miltenberg ihre Showband-Nummer ab, nur vor 20 Leuten";
(they played as if they were superstars on stage, even though there were only 20 people)

For your Example you could also say. "Er fühlt sich wohl in der Opferrolle/Er scheint sich in der Opferrolle wohl zu fühlen" meaning: Opferrolle = die Rolle des Opfers - the role of the victime
So: he is comfortable in the role of the victim/ He seems to be comfortable with the role of the victim.
Again it is a persona/rol that someone took on and is now playing. So others are not taking it that seriously because he could just stop playing that role.

I didn't check the context yet, but I think it means that somebody often plays a victim and is always complaining about others being rude or doing wrong to him.
Nummer can mean also an act in a show.

"eine Nummer abziehen"-"jemand zieht eine Nummer ab" = Meaning: someone is playing a role. They might be quite commited to it.. but it doesn't feel natural - it's an artifical acting.
Or:
"Mein Ex hat mich betrogen und gesagt, dass es meine Schuld ist" - "Ja, mein Ex hatte auch so eine miese Nummer abgezogen"
(My ex cheated and blamed me for it. - Yeah, My ex also did that(such a mean thing)) as in: planing and carrying out a plan, that benefits the person doing it and hurts the other person involved.

So: it has an "unreal/acting" and/or negative connotation.

"Opfernummer" here means, he es playing/overexagerating the fact that he is a victim (at least in the opinion of the speaker). She could also say "we get it, you're the victim so stop whining about it and grow up.
