The stock prices in Japan have been rising for the last 18 months and don't seem to level off soon. The idea of investing all my savings on a start-up IT company crossed my mind. Somehow, however, I stopped myself remembering what happened during the 2008 financial crisis. klingt das natürlich?

There are many ways to say it. In general though, you'd want to use "-ing" for whatever verb you choose. For example "and they have no sign of stopping."
