Is there any idiom to express the below situation" the future is not going to change, no matter how hard you work for it." @101 @ButHeichouuuuuuuuu
- Englisch (US)
Not that I know of. "You can't fight fate." is a popular expression, but it is not an idiom.
"Your fate is sealed." this phrase may be used in that sort of context. for something to be sealed, it cannot be damaged or changed. The future isn't literally sealed. The expression shows that it just cannot be changed.

@Ahamedmusaf That's just an expression, not an idiom. Idoms have two completely different meanings when taken literally compared to what the expression means.
"it's raining cats and dogs" makes no sense when taken literally. i sounds as if animals are falling from the sky. what the idiom means is that it's just raining heavily.
"fate is never meant to be changed" is a proper expression, but it does not have two meanings with one being literal and the other what the expression means.

@Ahamedmusaf maybe you can use: "You're just beating your head against the wall" to explain your work has no effect

@101 Should I use idiom as it's or may I replace with some other words ?
For example:
"Ball is in your court"
"Ball is in your hand"
For example:
"Ball is in your court"
"Ball is in your hand"
- Englisch (US)
@Ahamedmusaf Use it as it is. It's referring to tennis or ping-pong so it does not make sense when used differently
