Was bedeutet duly ?

I've looked up in some dictionaries,still I am not sure if i got it properly.

the meaning frm the dictionaries I've look up in :
in a expected and correct way
at a expected and correct time

thus,the meaning is like "in a proper way or at a proper timing"?

"Duly" is somewhat rarely heard, and it is most commonly used in the phrase "duly noted," meaning that the thing being spoken of has been understood and recorded, as it seems worth mentioning. "Duly" by itself can be thought of by "with due cause" or "rightly so," but again it is not overly common, so don't worry about using it much.

Examples:

"After hearing the man's objection, the judge remarked 'duly noted,' and dismissed him."

"Her eloquence at speaking was duly noticed by the audience"

so I got the meaning of "duly note" and the first example sentence.

and then about the second sentence:"duly"here means like "as the audiences expected"?

In the second sentence the meaning of "duly" is more like "justifiably," or "with due reason;" in other words, they noticed that she was eloquent in speaking, as one would expect them to be, considering her skill. It's not as much that the audience expected it, but rather that the person reading the sentence would expect them to be.

Let me know if that sounds clear. This is somewhat tricky word to work with.

@RobertD: like when I imagine the situation when in me watching tv one girl speaking and the audiences are on tv,its good to undestand??

in the situation,I can say (or tweet on twitter) sometimes "her eloquence at speaking was duly noticed by the audience"frm an outsider's perspective?
