Beh ti rispondo anche io dato che mi diverto proprio come lei ahaha...secondo la mia esperienza posso dirti che l'espressione italiana "fare 4 lavatrici" è grammaticalmente scorretta, tuttavia è utilizzata nel linguaggio comune. Ora, io direi "I've done the washing/laundry 4 times"

@Tinamary anche io direi "I did laundry 4 times" laundry sarebbe il bucato in italiano, ma si usa molto comunemente in inglese

Yeah, but to me the laundry sounds more American, or something that my grandmother used to say when she sent sheets to be washed by a professional laundry. l recently heard on American TV: I've done 4 washing machine cycles today. l really wanted the sentence to include the words 'washing machine', as in Italian. What about: I've loaded the washing machine 4 times today ? The fact is I haven't lived in the UK for many years, so l am a bit out of touch with ways of saying certain things.

@Tinamary I mean I'm 21 and me and my friends say laundry all the time, maybe it's something we got from the internet so the US, but it isn't odd, you know? but if you really want to say washing machine, then I guess "doing 4 loads of washing" sounds the most natural to me, other ways would sound too technical to me, but maybe it's the age ahah
