Can you please check my text for mistakes?

I don't know what to write today, so this entry will be my experimental free writing(please google it if you don't what is it).

School holidays is coming, they'll start in 12th January.
I'll work on a holidays as a Web dev in my uncle's company.

I need to prepare to oral exam that will be on monday.

Oh, it's kinda blurry to me when I need to write "the" before the word. I know that it's needs to be written when you mention something second+ time, and when you mention something unique, but still.

I also need to accomlish reading the book called "Fullstack react".

I suddenly realized that it wasn't right free writing. Because I corrected some mistakes while I was writing my entry.
But I think I can do exception for correcting because my main goal is improve and practise my English.

Oh, it's kinda blurry to me when I need to write "the" before the word. I know that it's needs to be written when you mention something second+ time, and when you mention something unique, but still. 
   - You use "the" when something is specific and already known by you "the dog is sitting", it's not only a dog it's the dog, a dog you know, a specific one. You use "the" before noncount nouns "he drank the water quietly" it's a specific water, maybe a glass of water, maybe a bottle... But then, when you say it's a glass you don't use "the": "he drank a glass of water quietly".

Holiday break is approaching. It starts on January 12th. During the holidays I will work as a web dev at my uncle’s company.

It’s hard for me to understand when I need to write “the” before the word. I know that it needs to be written when you mention something a second time and when you mention something unique, but I still don’t fully understand.

I also need to finish reading “Fullstack React.”

You write the word “the” in front of nouns and important places or things. 
Example: The book, The city, the cup. 
Although it can still be confusing because if you try to say a cup is possessed by someone(meaning they own the cup or the cup belongs to them) then you would not say “the” and would just say “her cup,” “his cup,” “their cup.”

@gracabell I believe oral exam is a talking exam. I have a language class and some of our exams are oral meaning we have to speak the language and get graded based on how you pronounce words and using the correct words.
