I thought "so eventually we couldn't go any where." was right.. because I saw a native speaker saying it like that on Youtube. Is it really wrong?

The part with "eventually" sounds really wrong to me; I wouldn't use it. YouTubers do not necessarily use great English. They might be native, but you don't know how well they did in English class. 😊
