How do you think about China ?

I think a lot of things. I'm an American living in France, so it's interesting to hear how people think the U.S. is one thing or another. I believe it is the same with China. So many diverse things.

Here are my thoughts, open and without filter:
Huge, diverse, most spoken language (mandarin), beautiful mountains, smog/pollution, communism, don't want daughters, big military, leave Hong Kong alone please, reserved culture, manufacturing, rice paddies, beautiful music, ancient astronomers, free Tibet

Haha, I'm also an American living in France! ;) I think many of the same things about China that likufanele mentioned. I was lucky to be able to visit Shanghai and Beijing, and here are some of my impressions from my visit:
Very very crowded, huge skyscrapers and lots of construction & development everywhere, huge modern department stores next to small local markets selling live fish and fresh vegetables, delicious food (especially 小籠包), many fake/imitations (such as a chain of coffee shops which looked almost identical to Starbucks), cutting in line is totally normal behavior, if I spoke even a little Chinese then people could be very kind and try to help when I got lost, I felt in awe of the rich history of thousands of years when visiting the beautiful monuments and historical sites and gardens...

Thanks your comments I know something interesting about my country from another country friends, don't wanna a daughter haha you really know Chinese hong kong it's a problem for china now, you let me know actually it's very cool I don't found it before
