Crisis is the point where a bad situation either gets better or it gets worse. So a crisis can be improved.
Adversity and misfortune mean exactly the same thing. They both mean a bad situation. I think that is why misfortune is a better answer.

English is filled with many varieties of different words with the same meaning.
In this case it may be that, that word was not wrong answer but it wasn't the BEST answer.

Crisis is the point where a bad situation either gets better or it gets worse. So a crisis can be improved.
Adversity and misfortune mean exactly the same thing. They both mean a bad situation. I think that is why misfortune is a better answer.
