When someone asks me a question I'm unsure I would use suppose.
Example: "What time does the restaurant close? "
"I suppose 10 o clock just like everything else around here"

Suppose is used when unsure, and definitely when certain. Suppose implies that you are making an educated guess. Some people use it somewhat loosely like, "I suppose I should get lunch"
